Today was the day. I had thirty minutes to find a decent shot, and I was ready to lower my standards. Here is we used for our card, plus some individuals.
I know how that is! Last year I took so many pictures I filled up two scrapbook pages and still had some left over - and in every one of them, Jack was making a different face. It is funny to look at them altogether. FINALLY we got a couple of good ones, and that was that.
It's my actual CARDS that were the compromise this year. Usually I put a handwritten note in, but I just have no time. Where does it go? I feel like every year of my life goes faster, faster, faster. I can't figure it out... Finally I just sealed the envelopes and said, "good enough. Done." Whew.
where did you get a red church pew? Or whatever that is? I love it! Don't cover it with a blanket; it's perfect! But I am sure your pictures showed up better on the blanket, so I understand. I just mean, wow, I love that pew! I've always heard that to get a good picture you have to be willing to just take a roll or two and snap snap snap and you should get one out of all that. I think it is true. Fortunately, digital cameras make it a less expensive process. Too bad we don't have one! I guess whatever it takes is worth it for a good picture you can have forever!
Abby, The red church pew was found in an antique shop near Callaway Gardens. I fell in love with it and my Mom and Dad got it for me for my birthday. I think that was three or four years ago. It has been in my foyer in our last house and this house. It is one of my favorite pieces of furniture because I reflects something that is my taste (and not just a hand-me-down or what we could afford!). Thanks for the compliment!
I am a seeker of truth, made alive by Jesus Christ.I am blessed with an amazing husband, two sweet sons, and a side-kick daughter, all whom I adore. I really cherish my time with family and friends. I have moved from Atlanta to rural Alabama about 4 years ago. But currently we are comfortably settled in a suburban area in my hometown. Things that I enjoy are interior decorating, crafting, reading, classical Christian education, baking, journaling, traveling, hosting celebrations, and collecting quotes and verses. I struggle with over commitment, being patient (and seeing beyond the here and now), creating my own little idols, and many, many other things that keep me at the foot of the cross where I belong. Life is never, ever dull with us! Praying that you will find honesty, encouragement, creativity, and a heart that, even amidst constant struggles, always desires for Christ to be glorified!
