Biting the bullet

I made the appointment. After four years of not feeling myself (often difficulty sleeping, weight gain, headaches, mood swings, fatigue, anxiety, flu-like achiness several days a month, etc.), I have finally decided to DO something about it. I am 35 and I shouldn't feel icky so often. The "I'm a busy mom....stressful life...blahblahblah" excuses are over. I am going to go and get a full exam/blood work-up to see if I need hormone replacements (all-natural). I have avoided the doctor because I am avoiding the scale. Shameless. I feel certain they can help. I am excited to feel better.

Maybe this is too much information. But I wonder how many other women in their 30s/40s struggle like I do. Maybe you are blaming yourself and feeling like you aren't enough. Maybe you feel angry a lot, like I do, when you have never struggled with anger IN YOUR LIFE! Maybe you have no idea why you feel so rotten two weeks out of every four, and you just keep trying to buck up. Most of the time you fail and that stinks. Isn't it the MOST difficult thing as a Mom to take care of yourself? I stink at it.

Thank you for yor honesty! I know it's so hard to put yourself out there but you do a beautiful job being real as you seek the Lord.

How did the visit go? Any help?

I'll will be interested to find out what your doctor prescribes. If you do go on natural hormones, let us know how it goes. I am EXTREMELY hormonal, but all my doctor recommended was the pill. Made it worse. Actually eating less sugar helped, but that's too hard to do!
