Too much

“The Lord your God is in your midst; a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will exult over you with loud singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

 

This verse is too much for me.  I absolutely adore the part where God says he will "quiet you with His love".  Isn't that the definition of peace itself?  But then, "He will exult over you with loud singing".  What would that be like?  God will celebrate with loud singing over us, His children.  Can you even fathom? 

This is the verse that I shared with the parents of my students this week for encouragement.  I think it is absolutely, unbelievably amazing.  What a loving, merciful, beautiful God we serve!
